I am SO getting one of these...

"It is multi functional as can be used as a coaching inn, a highland lodge and even a wine bar. Constructed using air blowers and metal stanchions, it takes only two-hours to construct a single pub. The giant pub called the Hogshead can house almost 50 people. This is an ordinary size of a stone-built pub measuring 50 feet X 25 feet, demands four people to unfold it."

IT'S the answer to every boozer's dream - an inflatable and portable pub.

Like a bouncy castle - but much more fun - the air-filled bars can be rented out for social events... or maybe just to impress the neighbours.

The business has been launched by an enterprising couple from Skye.

Paul and Diane Browning moved to Portree four years ago - and their firm, Amber Iris, are now the exclusive UK distributors of inflatable pubs.

There are four varieties of pub to choose from. The Firkin, Kilderkin, Barrel and the Hogshead - all named after beer containers - cost between £4379 and £16,500.

Yesterday, Paul, 60, said: "I am a member of the Institute of Brewing and Distilling and noticed an article on portable pubs in their magazine.

"I contacted the manufacturer in Bristol and they appointed me distributor for the UK and Scandinavia."

He added: "They are built to the same standard as bouncy castles and have a long life span. It can be a coaching inn, a Highland lodge or a wine bar.

"The first one constructed was to a typical old English pub design. It's just like relaxing in a real country pub.

"We have already sold the pubs on the domestic market, as well as to other businesses like the Isle of Skye Brewery."

The pubs take up to two hours to construct, using air blowers and metal stanchions. The biggest pub, the Hogshead, can hold 50 people.

It is the size of a normal stone-built pub, at 50 feet by 25 feet, and it takes up to four people to put up.

The pubs feature a pan-tiled roof effect with chimney pots. Inside, there is a pretend fireplace and stonewall effect.

Unluckily for smokers, the ciggies ban applies to these pubs too... and, like most bars, there's no shortage of hot air.

we should totally set it up on the side property and see if the HOA complains. Then if it makes the news (again) we can hire strippers to jump around
