That's my name for it, anyway. I hear my coworkers mentioning 'Beer o' Clock', but I'd rather wait for Jack:30.

Its Friday, 9:30 am. I'm figuring I'll be home from work about 6-ish and I'll have a glass of Jack in my hands by 6:30. That's 9 hours.

The Countdown to Jack:30 has begun.

w00t! I'm looking forward to my usual glass or two tonight, too. I don't drink during the week... and it's been a long week Jack:30 works for me! Bring it on!

I usually don't drink during the week either. Maybe a glass or 2 on Friday and Saturday. Maybe a little Single Barrel to toast in the beginning of a race if it starts in the afternoon.

Is it Jack:30 yet?

Meh, it was a bit delayed, ended up going out to dinner first. But it tasted VERY good when I got home.

I threw down 3-4 glasses (maybe more, I lost count) this evening... 60/40 J/Coke. Good times, as usual. Looks like I'll actually be going to Lynchburg, TN sometime next year for my 40th birthday. Who's in?

I just had some Gentleman Jack on the rocks.

I'm hoping to hit Lynchburg some time next year too, hopefully hit Nashville & Memphis while I'm at it. That's a good way to celebrate your 40th. I'm celebrating mine this year by going to Kansas for the KC race late September. Couple weeks early, but they just won't reschedule! (hehe)

Yes, it's been G-Jack all evening for us here... definitely prefer it over black label, but SB trumps both of course. I was thinking the same thing... from what I've heard, Lynchburg is a day or two max, and then it's time to explore Nashville. Take the tour, drink from the source, and then see what else is nearby.

Oh, and if I win the lottery, I'll haul a single barrel back home with me

Oh yes! I'd love to get an entire barrel! Get some of those brass tags made especially for it. Nice private stash to have for a while. Living in the SF Bay Area I have all these wine enthusiasts around me. Bleah! Give me one of those wine storage facilities and I'll convert it for Jack!

This year is the 20th anniversary of Gentleman Jack, by the way. I wrote to Jack Daniel's Racing to suggest they have a Gentleman Jack themed paint scheme for the 07 (Bowyer's car) this year to commemorate it. Somebody actually wrote back saying it was a good idea. Same guy that has responded to me before. I'd love to see that on the track. Maybe they'd better let me design it so it fits my vision. (Hah!)
