I have an 8oz flask and get a LARGE coke and drink about half the soda and dump the whole flask in.

Makes the movie a bit more enjoyable - keeps the cost of the soda relative as well.

Otherwise - I wind up just like Chris, maybe that's why we got so trashed my first night in SD a few months ago?

Straight. Sippin' and shootin'. I do like with Coke. Went to Bonnaroo last year and kept a flask filled up. Very tasty. If we have friends over, I like to shoot it about every half hour or so. Keeps a great steady buzz all evening.

^^^ Gotta watch out for him, too. Splash a little coke in it and he'll drink a 750 before it affects him. Then you get mixed results. Some days it's a good thing, some days it's not. Ahh, to be 22 again lol

Most of the time, just on the rocks. Once in a while, I'll add a dash of bitters, or a little bit of lemon juice. I've tried some of the recipes in the Cooking with Jack book, they've been pretty tasty too. I used to love it with Vanilla Coke, but that concoction gave me wicked hangovers.

Then there is this bartender at the Peppermill in Reno that makes a killer Jack Daniels Old Fashioned...

I was at this killer bbq place a couple weeks ago and tried a drink called a Tennessee Apple. YUMMY!!! just doesn't quite cover it. It was a tastebud orgasm extravaganza!!

So I found the recipe for it:

Jack Daniel’s® Tennessee Apple™

1 part Jack Daniel’s® Tennessee Whiskey

2 parts apple liqueur (use dekuyper sour apple pucker!)

1 part sweet and sour

1 part Sprite®


Shake ingredients together and serve over ice in a rocks glass. Add Sprite®. Garnish with a cherry.

The bartender garnished it with a slice of lime instead of a cherry, and it was really good! I think he also added a dash of Insta Grin, because every time I took a sip it made me grin.

Another thing I've started doing is just putting a slice of apple in my Jack when I am sipping on it straight. The apple absorbs the Jack, and when you eat the apple slice later... delicious!
